Most people only build one or two arenas in their lifetime - we’ve built thousands over our 30 years in the industry. Our client-focused approach to projects starts with a consultation with F.I.C.S President and Owner, Sandy. Meet the F.I.C.S. Team
Sandy
President & owner
Sandy Hart-Long left her teaching career in 2004 to join the family business and work alongside her father, Bill. She is the President of F.I.C.S. and oversees most of our projects.
She has been riding both competitively and recreationally for over 30 years in a variety of disciplines, recently earning her USDF Bronze Medal. In her "spare" time, Sandy enjoys riding, surfing, rock climbing, and working around the farm.
Tim
Vice President and Primary Field Liaison
Tim left his Senior Engineering/Project Management position in the corporate world in 2019 to join the family business. He's now our principal fly spray technician and field liaison.
Bill
founder
Bill Hart, Founder of F.I.C.S., left the corporate world over 30 years ago to start what began as "Farmers Insect Control Systems," a small business that focused only on fly spray systems. While he started out with only a handful of clients, through a reputation of a quality product, fair pricing, and outstanding service, we now have hundreds of fly spray systems throughout the East Coast.
During his rounds to barns to service the fly spray systems, Bill noticed and became interested in a variety of other products. Over the years, he continued to add only the highest quality products to the company's portfolio to transform F.I.C.S. from a small, local fly spray company to one that offers the finest and most innovative products and services for equestrian farms throughout the Mid-Atlantic.
Bill's favorite pastime is volunteering at the local Lehigh Riding Club.
